This is a very simple elegant trinket box. It was made in London in 1900 by Stuart Clifford and is hallmarked accordingly by the London Assay Office. It is oval shaped with no decoration other than the 3 irregular shaped pieces of boulder opal set into the top of the lid in rubover settings. The lid is hinged and the inside is lined with blue velvet and silk with a small removable tray.
