A 19th century helmet shaped mother of pearl brass & alabaster inkwell

This inkwell is in the design of a Trojan helmet.

Probably Continental & made in the 19th Century the the top part of the mother of pearl & brass helmet lifts to reveal a china inkwell in a decorative brass holder.

The oval base is made of alabaster.

There are issues with this item (see the condition report) but it is stir;; a great item.
