Alton 1970 silver & quartz collar style necklace

Jewellery made by the Swedish company Alton is always wonderful and this one is no exception. Designed by Kte Palmberg for Alton as a flexible silver torque that ends in two finials - one a silver sphere and the other a large round clear quartz crystal. The fastening is so simple - the spherical silver finial crosses underneath the crystal set finial so that it sits above the crystal once fastened. The torque has the script signature "Kte Palmberg" and is also marked "Alton" and bears the Swedish triple crown hallmark and the date letter U9 for 1970.
