This lovely ring has a cushion shaped natural blue tanzanite in an 18ct yellow gold rubover setting leading to an 18ct yellow gold tapering shank. On either side of the tanzanite is an 18ct white gold plate that is pave set with small round diamonds. The tanzanite was been cut by Alan from rough material that he bought in Tanzania in the early 1980s. It was blue in colour in the rough and has therefore not been heat treated. Alan designed the ring which was hand made by his brother Randal who is a master jeweller in South Africa. A truly unique piece.
