Andre Mery bronze football medal

This oblong bronze medal is by Andre Mery. The obverse depicts two footballers in a tackle for the ball and is signed "Andre Mery". The reverse has a round cartouche in the centre of which is a helmeted woman in high relief within a laurel wreath with the Latin phrase "Labor Improbus Omnia Vincit" (Hard Work Conquers All) across above the top and through the centre. The edge is stamped "Bronze" with a triangular mint mark bearing the initials "JB" and a sword.
