Art Deco wrought iron hall stand

This absolutely fabulous coat stand is made of textured openwork wrought iron. The top shelf is a hat rack which leads to four metal coat "pegs", the tops of which are shaped in such a way that hats could also be put on them. The mirror is bevelled with a small shelf below and holders (possibly for gloves) below that. The base is for umbrellas and walking sticks and has a drip tray. The metal work has been ridged and hammered and has a combination of straight and curving pieces of varying widths and scrolls. This piece is not signed (that we have been able to find and we have searched!) but is very reminiscent of Paul Kiss. There are two holes at the very top of the stand to enable it to be fixed to the wall. It can free stand but we would highly recommend that it is fixed to a wall. Just a wonderful piece!
