Isle of Wight brown swirl flattened globe vase

This very attractive flattened globe vase was made by the Isle of Wight studio in c1973. I think that this is an experimental piece that may have been a precursor to the Tortoiseshell range as the streaks of brown & cream that swirl around the body of the vase are thicker and more ribbon like. The base has the "coach bolt" pontil mark which was used during c1973.
