Jean Michel Frank (attrib.) Art Deco straw box

This fabulous box is made of straw over wood and is attributed to the French designer Jean Michel Frank in c1930s.
The lid is patterned with diamond shaped sections of straw and the sides are covered in straw.

It has a concealed hinge and opens to reveal a cork lined interior.

Condition:
Good with some losses and wear consistent with age and use.
We believe that the covering to the base which would probably originally have been faux leather has been replaced
