MIke Hunter for Twists Glass sommerso vase

This very elegant vase was made by Mike Hunter for Twists Glass in 2014. The vase is a flat tear drop shape with three layers of contrasting coloured glass within an outermost clear casing. The inner is a rich ruby colour with a pink layer followed by an orange layer. This technique is known as sommerso ( trans. submerged or sunken glass). The base is signed "M Hunter Twists 14" and has a Twists Glass Studio sticker. A fantastic and technically challenging piece.
