Milan Metelak for Harrachov Harrtil range glass bowl

This is a superb bowl. Designed in the mid 1950s by Milan Metelak for the Czech Harrochov glassworks it is part of the Harrtil range that has a fine white mesh of woven glass fibres within a heavy glass casing with orange & pink colouration grading to amber towards the edges of the orange colouration. The colours have a wonderful sheen. The abstract design looks as though a thick rope of glass has been coiled upwards and outwards from the base.

Approximate dimensions:
Weight: 2lbs 11.7ozs - 1238gms
Height: 4.5ins - 10.8cms
Width: 5.5ins - 14cms
