Oiva Toikka for Iittala Rusee Grebe glass bird

We always buy the birds designed by Oiva Toikka when we can. We love these iconic birds but this is the first Rusee Grebe (know as Kriikku in Finnish) that we have had.

It has a long black beak with a clear green capped head and a mottled blue body and ends with a long split tail, It was Introduced in 2008 and retired in 2014.

The underside is signed "O. Toikka Nuutajärvi", it has the Iittala label and a white barcoded label marked "Birds Rusee Grebe Kriikku".
