This wonderful pair of Art Deco photograph frames was probably made in France. Each one consists of an oblong macassar ebony base at each end of which is a graduated fronted disc of yellow bakelite. Each disc has an incision in its inside edge to enable the two sheets of glass holding the photograph to be inserted into it. Very decorative and useful:
