This slightly quirky vase is by the German company Rosenthal. Probably made in the 1970/80s it is in clear glass and is a globe vase with a difference. Inside the vase is a glass tree-like structure that has tripod roots that attach to the bottom of the inside of the vase whilst the three "branches" have sucker like tips that attach to the inside of the vase just below the rim. Viewed from the outside the suckers appear to (but do not actually) create dimples in the surface of the bowl. The base is marked "Rosenthal" with thevRosenthal logo and there is the remnants of a small round grey Rosenthal studio label marked "Rosenthal Germany".
