Silver, gilt & ceramic brooch

This lovely oval shaped brooch has a ceramic centre that has been painted with a landscape with scudding clouds. The ceramic has been partially overlaid with a silver tree on the left hand side and with silver foliage in the bottom front. The silver foliage has in turn been overlaid with silver gilt ivy leaves and berries that top below the framework of the brooch. The brooch as a solid silver back that has been hallmarked by the Birmingham Assay Office for silver and the year 1998 and bears the ````sponsor's mark "PEB" in an oval cartouche.
