This rectangular gilded bronze medal/plaque was probably struck in the 1930s in France. The obverse has a landscape in the top half depicting a bridge over a rocky stream in the foreground with buildings trees and a mountain in the background - a view of Val-les-Bains. The landscape is framed by a wreath with the words "Vals les Bains Juin - Septembre" beneath the landscape. The reverse is blank. This is probably a souvenir produced for sale to tourists who came to take the waters at the spa town of Vals-les-Bains.
