Art Nouveau bronze paper clip with horses

This superb Art Nouveau bronze paper clip has two plates separated by a spring fulcrum.
The shaped front plate has been cast with four horses heads all wearing harnesses. It is very clear from the casting that the horses are travelling at speed - their manes are streaming out behind them and there is a feeling of speed and strength.
The bronze back plate is shaped and pierced with typical scrolling Art Nouveau decoration ,the top of which has been designed to be a loop for hanging.
