Georges Contaux L'Intrans bronze medal

This is a superb medal with a very strong image by the French sculptor & medalist Georges Contaux (1891-1984. The obverse depicts a a male head in profile with his mouth open and prominent eye. Emanating from his ear are 6 cables that connect to electric connectors on a pole. the words "Le Plus Fort L'Intrans" run across the side of his head. It is signed "C Contaux apres A M Cassandre".
The reverse has two columns one sprouting oak leave and the other sprouting laurel leaves that meet in an arch across the top of the medal the centre of which is blank. The rim is unmarked.
